Rowland Heights, CA (September 15, 2026) — Rowland Water District (RWD) is proud to partner in the 53rd Annual Buckboard Days Parade & Festival, set for Saturday, October 17, 2026. This year’s western theme focuses on the wild west, and gives thousands of Rowland Heights area families a chance to learn more about water conservation and share easy ways customers can save at home.
The parade kicks off at 9:00 AM at Colima Road and Nogales Street, heading east along Colima before turning onto Banida Avenue and finishing at Rowland Heights Park. Spectators can expect marching bands, cheer and dance teams, classic cars, school groups, and community organizations, along with local leaders, law enforcement, and their favorite mascots.
The Buckboard Family Festival follows from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Rowland Heights Park, hosted by LA County Parks & Recreation, with live music, food vendors, games, local business booths, and youth performances.
“I’ve been extremely fortunate to take part in this community tradition for over 10 years and to represent Rowland Water District among the event organizers,” said Brittnie Gildea, Administrative Analyst at Rowland Water District and a long-standing member of the Buckboard Days Board of Directors. “We’re excited to be back this year, helping our community ‘lasso those leaks,’ conserve every drop, and keep our community flowing for the future.
As a sponsor for many years, RWD sees Buckboard Days as a chance to celebrate the connections that make Rowland Heights strong. In addition to riding in the parade, RWD representatives will be on hand at the festival with conservation tips, giveaways, and answers to customer questions.
“Showing up for Buckboard Days year after year reflects who we are as an organization,” said Tom Coleman, RWD General Manager. “Caring for our neighbors is our promise to the community, and it shapes everything from how we deliver water to how we spend a Saturday morning with the families we serve.”
