ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA (October 5, 2026) In observance of California’s Water Professionals Appreciation Week, Rowland Water District (RWD) will recognize its employees October 5-9 for the expertise that sustain our community’s most essential public service. The District’s highly trained staff work 24 hours a day, seven days a week to test, monitor, and deliver the safe, dependable water that thousands of homes, schools, and businesses count on. That team includes operators, field crews, safety representatives and customer service and administrative staff, each playing a role in protecting water quality, maintaining the system, and securing a reliable supply for future generations.
“Behind every drop of water is a team of dedicated professionals devoted to caring for our neighbors and our future,” said Crystal Rodriguez, RWD’s Accounting/Human Resources Manager. “Their hard work and commitment bring our values of being welcoming, humble, and original to life every day. Our District is stronger because of them.”
RWD’s Board of Directors recently adopted a proclamation declaring the first week of October 2026 Water Professionals Appreciation Week and extending the Board’s gratitude to the team. Throughout the week, RWD will celebrate with special acknowledgements and celebrations, highlighting the community’s deep appreciation for their hard work.
Water Professionals Appreciation Week was established in 2017 through Senate Concurrent Resolution 80, authored by Senator Bill Dodd and sponsored by a coalition led by the Association of California Water Agencies. The week begins each year on the first Saturday of October and honors the thousands of water and wastewater professionals who keep California’s water safe and reliable.
