Water districts are required to test various locations within their service area for Lead and Copper to ensure compliance with state and federal water quality standards. To meet these requirements, RWD staff conducted field inspections at over 15,000 addresses. In addition to sampling, the team identified pipe material classifications and noted whether any materials had previously contained lead.

The testing process took 18 months time to complete, and the great news is that no lead or copper was detected in the system.
