October 6, 2025 — Rowland Water District (RWD) is proud to recognize Water Professionals Appreciation Week, October 4–12, 2025, joining agencies statewide in celebrating the people who keep California’s water flowing safely and reliably.

From the operators maintaining the water system to the customer service staff assisting residents, RWD’s team works every day to protect the community’s most vital resource. Their collective expertise ensures that customers receive high-quality water service around the clock, through drought, emergencies, and the steady demands of daily life.

“Every member of our team plays a critical role in delivering safe, reliable water to the people we serve,” said Tom Coleman, RWD General Manager. “Our operators, technicians, and customer service professionals take great pride in their work and the responsibility that comes with it. Their skill and dedication reflect a level of care that defines who we are as an organization.”

Water Professionals Appreciation Week was established by the California Legislature to highlight the essential role water and wastewater professionals play in protecting public health, the environment, and the economy. The observance also encourages students and job seekers to explore the many career opportunities within the water industry.

RWD’s commitment to service is guided by its core values: WelcomingHumble, and Original. These values define how the organization approaches its mission, fostering a workplace culture built on respect, teamwork, and creativity. RWD believes that when its people lead with integrity and purpose, the community benefits in lasting and meaningful ways.
